The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, met with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, to discuss the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
Vucic emphasized to Kallas that the formation of the Association of Serb-Majority Municipalities is a prerequisite for further progress in the dialogue.
“I stressed that Serbia remains committed to a constructive dialogue, mediated by the European Union, as a means of resolving open issues, and that the protection of the Serbian population in Kosovo is our absolute priority. I reiterated that the formation of the Association of Serb-Majority Municipalities is not only a previously agreed obligation, but also a prerequisite for any further progress in the dialogue and normalization of relations,” said Vucic.
It was also noted that the meeting addressed Serbia’s alignment process with the EU’s foreign and security policy.
Kallas is scheduled to visit Kosovo tomorrow.
