The Mayor of Prishtina, Përparim Rama, has stated that the Municipality is making maximum efforts to manage the waste situation in the capital, following the blocking of “Pastrimi” company trucks.

In a Facebook post, he emphasized that despite the challenges, the door-to-door waste collection service is continuing and that daily efforts are being made to ensure vital and dignified services for citizens.

“We are working every day to ensure that Prishtina’s citizens receive essential services with dignity and without delays. I thank the alternative teams of the Municipality of Prishtina who are working non-stop, 24/7, to collect waste and keep the city clean in an extraordinary situation where over 30 waste collection trucks remain blocked at the ‘Pastrimi’ company’s parking lot,” Rama stated.

He praised the dedication of the workers involved in this operation, highlighting the importance of public support for the work being carried out under difficult circumstances.

“These teams are doing the impossible under extremely challenging conditions and deserve our full respect and gratitude,” he added.
