Arbër Rexhaj, a deputy from Vetëvendosje (VV), has confirmed that there is a strong possibility of forming a coalition between his party and the Social Democratic Initiative (NISMA).
In an interview with Kanal 10, Rexhaj acknowledged that while there have been communications between the two parties, no concrete agreement has been reached yet.
“There have been discussions and communications, but not a finalized agreement. There is space and a real possibility of a coalition between VV and NISMA. The agreement would be made between the two leaders, and to me, it doesn’t matter where Limaj sees himself, as long as the deal reflects a spirit of cooperation aimed at forming a government,” said Rexhaj.
He also pointed out that it would be unfair for a party with only three MPs to demand high-level political positions.
Last night, Fatmir Limaj, the leader of NISMA, stated that there was a verbal agreement with Albin Kurti regarding the post of Assembly Speaker, although he admitted that no written deal had been signed.
