Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that intelligence services have obtained information indicating Russia is preparing for new offensive operations.

During a meeting with the General Staff, Zelensky said discussions included the overall situation, the war, Russia’s objectives, the capacity of its troops and military-industrial complex, and Ukraine’s ability to exert pressure and disrupt Moscow’s plans.

“From intelligence reports and open-source data, we see that Putin and his circle have no intention of ending this war. There are no signs that they are seriously considering peace or diplomacy. On the contrary, there is ample evidence they are preparing for new offensive operations,” Zelensky said.

He added that Russia hopes the war will continue a clear disregard, as he put it, “for all those around the world who seek peace and are working diplomatically toward it.”

Zelensky emphasized that it is crucial for Ukraine’s international intelligence partners to recognize these threats and report them to their leaders rather than turning a blind eye.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced on May 23 that Russia will present Ukraine with a draft “settlement document” once the current prisoner exchange process is completed.
