Kosovo Public Sector Salaries to Increase by €55 Starting July

During a government meeting today, acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that salaries for public sector officials in Kosovo will increase by €55 starting from July. This marks the second such increment this year.

Kurti stated that the first increase of €55 was implemented in January, and the upcoming one in July will complete a total raise of €110 compared to December’s salaries.

Salaries are increasing twice by €55 to complete the €110 increase. The first increase began in January, and the next one from July,” Kurti explained during the government session. “Today, we are taking the budgetary decision to cover the cost of this increase. Effective next month, the monthly salaries for over 80,000 public officials will be €110 higher than they were in December.

The acting Prime Minister further emphasized that with this increase, the average public sector salary will reach €865 per month, representing a 46.1% increase compared to the average salary in 2019.
