The Organization of KLA War Veterans (OVL-UÇK) has reacted strongly to attacks and attempts to deny the presence of the KLA flag during yesterday’s Albania-Serbia match.

In a press release issued by OVL-UÇK, the organization states that the KLA flag represents the blood of martyrs who fell for Kosovo’s freedom and their testament. Any attempt to prevent its presence is considered a “stab in the soul” for the families of the martyrs and for every Albanian who holds the fight for freedom dear.

“When the KLA flag is touched, the blood of our martyrs is touched. Their testament is touched, the freedom for which they fell is touched. That flag is the grave of those who never returned, it is the memory of those who live forever in our conscience,” the veterans emphasized.

The organization demands respect and sensitivity for this symbol, which represents the sacrifice and struggle of the KLA. They stressed that this issue should not be used for political purposes, as memory is sacred. OVL-UÇK calls on everyone to show care and respect for the history and struggle of the martyrs, to preserve their legacy and foster peaceful coexistence.
