Four border police officers in Kapshticë, including a shift supervisor, have been arrested following the discovery of 6 kilograms of heroin hidden in a vehicle destined for Greece.
The drug was found in a specially adapted compartment within the vehicle during inspections by the Police Surveillance Agency at the southeastern border crossing, reports Gazeta Sinjali.
Following the seizure, the driver of the vehicle was arrested. Subsequent investigations led to the apprehension of the four police officers, who are now accused of abuse of duty.
