The Vice-Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Besnik Tahiri, has declared that Kosovo is in a deep political crisis. He demanded that after 28 failed attempts to constitute the Assembly, this situation must not be normalized.
“The state is in a functional blockade, without representation and without institutional decision-making. This is a deep political crisis that is undermining democratic functioning and eroding citizens’ trust in institutions,” Tahiri wrote on Facebook.
Tahiri’s Full Facebook Post:
“Almost four months after the elections, we still do not have the Assembly constituted; this situation must not be normalized. The state is in a functional blockade, without representation and without institutional decision-making.
This is a deep political crisis that is undermining democratic functioning and eroding citizens’ trust in institutions. Institutional credibility is fading every day. Without elected institutions, there is neither democracy nor a functional state.
Kosovo is losing its power and authority, both domestically and in relation to international partners.
This situation must end urgently.“
