Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for a coordinated international response against Russia, Iran, and North Korea, accusing the three nations of collaborating to escalate global threats, including nuclear weapons and drone attacks, reports RKS News.
In his daily video address from Kyiv on Thursday, Zelensky stated, “Russia is now attempting to save Iran’s nuclear program,” referring to both public signals and undisclosed actions by Moscow.
According to him, every time one of Russia’s partners comes under international pressure, the Kremlin intervenes to offer support. He warned that this alliance of aggressor states must be countered with strong measures.
Zelensky also responded to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent proposal to help Iran use nuclear energy for “peaceful” purposes, calling it a tactic to sidestep restrictions on nuclear arms development.
He emphasized that Iranian Shahed drones and upgraded North Korean ballistic missiles are being used by Russia to strike Ukrainian civilians. “This clearly shows that global solidarity and pressure alone are not enough. We must significantly tighten sanctions,” he said.
Zelensky spoke after visiting a residential building in Kyiv that was destroyed by a Russian missile strike two days earlier, where 23 people were killed. In total, around 30 people died in the latest wave of airstrikes on the capital and other Ukrainian cities.
“This is pure terrorism, orchestrated by the Russian military under Putin’s command,” he concluded.
