Debris from a drone recovered last week in Ukraine, after a daily Russian attack, indicates that Russia is now deploying new, advanced technology from Iran, according to Ukrainian experts.

This particular drone stood out from others. It featured an advanced camera, an AI-powered computing platform, and a radio-link for remote piloting from Russia. Crucially, it also contained new anti-jamming technology manufactured in Iran, according to Serhii Beskrestnov, a prominent Ukrainian electronics expert.

Beskrestnov noted that most Russian attack drones are black, but this new drone was white. Inside, there were no markings or labels consistent with Russian-made drones. Instead, the stickers followed a “standard Iranian labeling system,” Beskrestnov told the Associated Press, as reported by Euro.

While Russia is continually improving its drone technology and tactics, achieving increasing success in strikes against Ukraine, the UK Ministry of Defense suggests that recent Israeli attacks on Iran are “likely to negatively impact the future supply of Iranian military equipment to Russia,” given Tehran’s prior provision of “significant quantities” of drones to Moscow.
