The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (MFA) has announced that since the initial days of the escalating situation in the Middle East, it has evacuated several Kosovo citizens from Israel via Jordan and Egypt. Currently, 13 citizens remain in Israel but have not expressed interest in being evacuated.
Evacuation Efforts and Ongoing Cases
The evacuations were conducted in close coordination with Israeli authorities and the embassies of Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Egypt in Israel.
The MFA is closely monitoring the case of a Kosovo citizen receiving medical treatment at “Soroka” Hospital in Be’er Sheva, a city that was attacked last week. “Fortunately, she was not present during the attack and is in good health. The Kosovo Embassy in Israel is in continuous contact with her family and is working to realize their evacuation once appropriate conditions are created,” the announcement stated.
Another Kosovo citizen is reportedly in the process of leaving Israel via Egypt, with embassy support.
Remaining Citizens and Safety Advisory
“According to the latest data from the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Israel, there are still 13 other citizens of the Republic of Kosovo in Israeli territory who have not yet expressed interest in evacuation,” the MFA’s statement read.
The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Israel remains fully prepared and committed to responding to any requests for assistance from citizens, coordinating closely with Israeli authorities and international partners for any further evacuation opportunities.
Given the deteriorating security situation in Israel, the MFA urges all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo in the territory to exercise maximum caution and remain only in safe areas. Citizens are advised to strictly follow instructions and warnings issued by Israel’s Home Front Command.
