North Macedonia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Izet Mejiti, announced that he greeted Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, “as a friend and brother” at the border crossing point. Kurti arrived a day early in Skopje to participate in the upcoming summit of European Union and Western Balkan leaders.
The summit aims to accelerate the implementation of the EU’s Growth Plan for the region.
Mejiti stated that he and Kurti engaged in discussions “with sincerity and shared will. About the opportunities before us. About cooperation. About our people, our countries, and our path towards Europe. And it is good when we have each other close on this path.”
