Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to make an official visit to the United States on Monday, where he will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump, RKS News reports.
The visit comes at a critical moment and will focus on two major topics: the celebration of what Trump has called a “shared victory against Iran” and discussions on a potential ceasefire in Gaza.
This marks the third meeting between the two leaders this year, amid an increasingly tense global climate. Trump previously stated that the U.S. and Israel have “destroyed” Iran’s nuclear capabilities and warned that if Tehran resumes its nuclear activity, new airstrikes will follow.
Just one week ago, Trump announced that Israel had accepted a 60-day ceasefire proposal in Gaza. The agreement, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, has reportedly received a “positive” response from Hamas as well, paving the way for deeper negotiations aimed at ending the 21-month-long conflict.
