Russia announced today that its forces have taken control of two new settlements in Ukraine’s eastern regions of Donetsk and Kharkiv, as part of its ongoing military offensive, Rks News reports.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the village of Piddubne, located about 22 kilometers north of the strategic city of Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk, is now under their control.
Additionally, Moscow claims to have seized the village of Sobolivka, near Kupiansk in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region.
Ukrainian authorities have not yet commented on the claims, and independent verification remains difficult due to the ongoing war, which has now entered its fourth year.
