Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is in Bosnia and Herzegovina today to attend the 30th anniversary commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide, taking place at the Srebrenica Memorial Center in Potočari.

This was confirmed in an official statement from the government, which also noted that Kurti is leading the official Kosovo delegation, consisting of:

  • Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, and
  • Third Deputy Prime Minister, Emilija Rexhepi, who represents the Bosniak community in Kosovo.

“Prime Minister Kurti travels to Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in the commemoration ceremony of the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide,” the statement reads.

The visit carries deep symbolic and political significance, as Kosovo continues to stand in solidarity with the victims and survivors of one of the darkest chapters in recent European history.

Last year, the Government of Kosovo officially declared July 11 a National Day of Remembrance for the Srebrenica Genocide, honoring the memory of more than 8,000 Bosniak men and boys killed by Bosnian Serb forces in July 1995.
