Prishtina, July 16, 2025 – With the unveiling of his campaign slogan “Koha për Prishtinën” (Time for Prishtina), Uran Ismaili has officially launched his candidacy for mayor of Kosovo’s capital city, signaling a bold and action-oriented approach to local governance.
The PDK candidate introduced his slogan through a video released on social media, delivering a message that blends urgency with vision. Ismaili emphasized that this is not merely a campaign tagline, but a deeply held conviction that Prishtina needs solutions, not slogans, and that the time for action is now.
“It’s time to end the chaos and refocus on the city – on a Prishtina that demands bold solutions and committed leadership,” Ismaili declared, identifying key daily challenges faced by citizens such as traffic congestion, pollution, lack of cleanliness, neighborhood safety, and insufficient livable spaces.
His campaign, according to his announcement, will focus on concrete, neighborhood-specific solutions built on years of managerial and political experience, notably his tenure as Minister of Health, where he was credited with important structural reforms.
Ismaili promises a grassroots-centered campaign, engaging all communities and backed by a strong, capable team ready to transform promises into action. He positions himself as a candidate who understands Prishtina as a citizen, not just as a politician.
“This is not just time for Prishtina. It’s time for its people. For the mothers stuck in traffic, for the youth who want clean parks, for the elders who deserve safer neighborhoods. The city needs leadership that acts – and that time is now.”
With “Koha për Prishtinën,” Uran Ismaili seeks to channel both public frustration and hope into a focused movement for change in the capital city.
