Albanian KFOR Troops Continue Training in Peja as Part of “HELI MEDEVAC” Exercise

Peja, July 19, 2025 — Albanian Commando Battalion troops, currently deployed in the Western Regional Command (RC-W) in Peja under the KFOR Mission, are actively continuing their training alongside international partners as part of the joint exercise “HELI MEDEVAC.”

The Ministry of Defense of Albania shared a statement on Facebook highlighting the ongoing engagement and professionalism of Albanian forces in fulfilling operational duties within KFOR 07. The joint exercise focuses on helicopter medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) scenarios, aiming to improve readiness, coordination, and rapid response in emergency situations.

These drills reinforce NATO’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Kosovo while enhancing interoperability between allied forces.

The Albanian Ministry praised the dedication and contribution of its personnel, underlining that such collaborative efforts reflect the country’s continued support for international peacekeeping and its strategic role within the NATO alliance.
