The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) is set to officially announce Përparim Rama’s candidacy for a second term as Mayor of Prishtina this Thursday.
The official ceremony will take place at 20:00 at the Amphitheater – Germia Pool, where LDK leadership and supporters are expected to gather in support of Rama’s continued leadership in the capital.
Rama was first elected mayor in the 2021 local elections after defeating Vetëvendosje’s candidate, Arben Vitia, in the runoff.
Prior to entering politics, Përparim Rama gained international recognition for his work as an architect, leading various urban and architectural projects in different parts of the world. His transition from global architecture to public leadership has shaped his vision for transforming Prishtina into a modern and livable city.
His second-term bid comes as LDK aims to consolidate its position in key municipalities ahead of upcoming elections.
