Wildfires that have engulfed various regions of Kosovo have caused damage to the power grid, leaving several areas in Prizren, Mitrovica, and Gjakova without electricity.
Power Outages Ordered by Police
According to KEDS (Kosovo Energy Distribution and Supply Company), the power supply was cut to the substations “Prizren 1” and “Prizren 3” following a direct order from the Kosovo Police.
Strong winds are further complicating the situation, but technical teams are on the ground working to restore the power supply. KEDS has appealed to citizens to exercise increased caution until the situation returns to normal.
