Protests have erupted in Edinburgh and Aberdeen following U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to Scotland. The demonstrations occurred as Trump played golf at his luxurious Trump Turnberry resort.

Protesters Condemn Trump’s Policies and Stance on Gaza

Demonstrators gathered with banners and placards to express their opposition to Trump’s policies, particularly concerning immigration and the conflict in Gaza. Banners with messages like “Stop Trump, free Gaza” were frequently seen.

One protester, Gabriele Negro, an Italian professor at the University of Edinburgh, stated that he was there to send a signal of opposition to Trump’s policies and his position on Gaza. Another protester, 31-year-old Cat Cutmore, said her participation was driven by her deep concerns about Gaza and what she views as Trump’s attacks on democratic principles.

The protests have so far been peaceful, with no major incidents reported. Trump is scheduled to meet with British leaders during his time in the United Kingdom.
