The acting Government of Kosovo held a meeting today during which it announced the allocation of half a million euros to assist Palestinians in Gaza, in response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis there.

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti condemned the attacks causing civilian casualties, emphasizing that children are suffering the most severe consequences.

“Allow me to express the deep concern of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo regarding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. As we have done in the past, we condemn attacks that result in the death and injury of civilians—especially children, who are bearing the brunt of the consequences despite having no responsibility for the conflict or the situation. Our government has already allocated half a million euros from its budget as support for the Palestinian people in Gaza,” Kurti stated.

He added that Kosovo supports every initiative by international partners to reach an immediate ceasefire, which would enable “the regular and sufficient delivery of aid, the release of hostages, and the achievement of a long-term and sustainable solution between Israelis and Palestinians.”
