The Administrative Instruction for the 2025/26 academic calendar has been officially approved, the Acting Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, announced today.
The instruction sets the start and end dates for the school year in all public and private institutions, covering all education levels — from preschool institutions, pre-primary classes, primary schools, lower and upper secondary schools, to resource centers for learning and counseling. It also defines autumn, winter, and spring breaks, as well as official holidays, ensuring a clear and structured calendar for students and teachers.
School Year Dates:
- Start: September 1, 2025
- End: June 19, 2026
Nagavci thanked the working group — composed of teachers, municipal education directorate representatives, schools, and the Ministry — for their commitment in creating this comprehensive calendar.
She emphasized that the Ministry, together with municipalities and school leaders, is making the necessary preparations to ensure a successful school year full of learning opportunities and development for all students.
