A serious incident occurred during a Condor Airlines flight aboard a Boeing 757-300 traveling from Corfu, Greece, to Düsseldorf, Germany.

Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft, carrying 263 passengers and eight crew members, experienced a fire in one of its engines, according to international media reports.

Thanks to the swift and professional response of the pilots, an emergency landing was carried out at Brindisi Airport in Italy, where the plane touched down safely with no injuries reported among passengers or crew.

The airline confirmed that the fire was caused by an airflow disruption within the engine during flight.

Due to the incident, many passengers were required to spend the night at Brindisi Airport, as immediate hotel accommodations were unavailable.
