Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has strongly condemned the entry of 19 Russian drones into Polish airspace, describing it as an “unprecedented attack not only on Polish territory but also on NATO airspace.”

In response, the Russian chargé d’affaires was summoned to the Polish Foreign Ministry on Wednesday afternoon, where he was handed a formal protest note, Sikorski told reporters.

The Russian diplomat denied that the drones belonged to Russia.

Sikorski stated:

“If they were to admit responsibility, it would be considered progress.”

He also rejected the possibility that the incident was an accidental airspace violation, emphasizing the deliberate nature of the intrusion.
