U.S. President Donald Trump issued his first reaction to the Russian drone incursion over Poland during the night.
In a cryptic post on his Truth Social account, Trump wrote:
“What’s going on with Russia violating Polish airspace with drones? Here we go.”
While the precise meaning of the post remains unclear, media outlets suggest that further comments from Trump are expected in the coming days.
The incident occurred as Polish and NATO forces scrambled jets to intercept the Russian drones that had entered Polish airspace late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. This marked the first direct military engagement involving Moscow since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
