EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, former Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, reacted after Russian military jets violated Estonian airspace, Rks News reports.

Kallas stated that this is the third violation of EU airspace within just a few days and that it further contributes to rising tensions in the region.

“Today’s violation of Estonian airspace by Russian military jets is an extremely dangerous provocation. This is the third violation of EU airspace within just a few days and it further increases regional tensions. The EU expresses its full solidarity with Estonia,” Kallas wrote on social media platform X.

She added that she remains in close contact with the Estonian government and that the European Union will support its member states in strengthening their defenses.

“I am in close contact with the Estonian government. We will continue to support our member states in strengthening their defense with European resources. Putin is testing the determination of the West. We must not show weakness,” she stressed.
