The United Kingdom has urged Serbian authorities to apprehend and swiftly bring to justice the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Banjskë on September 24, 2023, in which Kosovo police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
“The perpetrators, including Milan Radoiçiq, have not yet been captured or brought to justice. We again call on the Serbian authorities to act on this as soon as possible,” stated the British Embassy in Kosovo.
Today marks the second anniversary of the Banjskë terrorist attack, and the UK Embassy praised the actions of the Kosovo Police.
“Today is the second anniversary of the terrible attack in Banjskë. We continue to mourn the loss of police officer Afrim Bunjaku during that attack. We pay tribute to the professionalism and bravery of the Kosovo Police for restoring order on September 24, 2023, and to Kosovo prosecutors for their patient work in preparing the indictment,” the Embassy’s message added.
