The U.S. Embassy in Kosovo has paid tribute to Kosovo Police Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku, who was killed in the line of duty during the terrorist attack in Banjska two years ago.
In a statement shared on Facebook, the Embassy announced that Chargé d’Affaires Anu Prattipati joined Kosovo’s institutional leaders and members of the diplomatic community at a memorial academy dedicated to Bunjaku’s sacrifice.
“Chargé d’Affaires Anu Prattipati joined Kosovo’s leaders and diplomatic colleagues to honor Kosovo Police Officer Afrim Bunjaku, who was killed in the line of duty during the Banjska attack two years ago,” the Embassy’s post read.
The tribute comes on the second anniversary of the deadly attack, underscoring both the U.S. commitment to Kosovo’s security and the recognition of Bunjaku’s ultimate sacrifice in defending the country.
