Today, the official change of command ceremony for the KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTR BN) was held, led by Major General Enrico Barduani, Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission.

During the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Attila Nagy formally handed over his responsibilities to Lieutenant Colonel Gergely Herczog, both officers of the Hungarian Army.

In his speech, Major General Barduani expressed his sincere gratitude to Lt. Col. Nagy, who has led KTR BN since March 2025, praising his exceptional professionalism and leadership throughout his tenure.

The KFOR Commander also extended his best wishes to Lt. Col. Herczog on assuming the new command.

As a symbolic gesture of the transition, the NATO flag was passed from the outgoing commander to the new one—a gesture representing the continuity of leadership and NATO’s steadfast commitment to peace and stability in the region.
