Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić arrived in Durrës for the Brdo-Brioni Summit, expressing expectations that the process would deliver “clear conclusions.”
Writing on Facebook, Vučić emphasized that Serbia remains committed to EU enlargement, calling it a “priority” rather than a secondary issue for Belgrade.
“Although we face many challenges, Serbia remains committed to ensuring that EU enlargement remains one of the priorities, not a secondary topic. I expect the Brdo-Brioni Process to bring clear conclusions, because only sincerity and consistency in the approach of all parties can give this process sustainable stability and the trust of the region’s countries,” Vučić wrote.
He added that he is convinced the EU enlargement agenda must stay clearly outlined for the Western Balkans, as open membership prospects serve as a strong driver of reforms, new investments, and economic growth.
“On that path, Serbia will always be a reliable and responsible partner of the European Union,” he concluded.
