President Vjosa Osmani described the honor she and Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti received—the “Distinguished Alumni” award from the University of Prishtina (UP)—as an “emotion that cannot be easily described.”

She highlighted that, indirectly, the award shows that the nation has no reason to fear the future, as it celebrates both her and Kurti through the university.

“A nation that honors knowledge has never any reason to fear the future,” Osmani said, speaking with heartfelt conviction.

She expressed her gratitude “from the heart” to the university and its rector for the recognition.

“This award is a reminder that the roots of every achievement begin precisely in the place where we first dared to dream, regardless of the risks, and where the light of knowledge first ignited,” Osmani added.

Reflecting on her own journey as a student and later a professor at UP, she noted that these experiences shaped her as a person, professional, and president.

Osmani emphasized that students like herself and Kurti are “the best ambassadors of Kosovo in the world of knowledge.”
