New York Mayor Eric Adams, accompanied by a U.S. delegation, arrived Tuesday midday in the coastal city of Vlora. The mayor was accompanied by extensive security personnel and special teams from the U.S. Embassy.
The delegation first visited the government villa in Ujin e Ftohtë, and later, Adams is expected to tour the Orikum area.
While official reasons for the visit have not been released, international media report that the trip aims to strengthen economic cooperation and promote tourism.
Sources close to the organizers indicate that Adams will hold informal meetings with local representatives and entrepreneurs to discuss potential projects and partnerships in the region.
