The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly from the Serb community, Nenad Rashiq, has stated that he would prefer a coalition between Vetëvendosje (VV) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) for the formation of Kosovo’s new government.
“As usual, the Serb List — in any situation where I am involved, whether for a position or during elections — they are always against me; they operate in a brutal and organized manner. So, their reaction is no surprise,” Rashiq said.
He added that his main wish is to see a stable governing majority, given the challenges Kosovo faces both domestically and internationally.
“I would be pleased to see a stable government and majority due to the many challenges we have, especially regarding international relations. Therefore, I would be happy if Vetëvendosje formed a coalition with LDK, as that would create a larger parliamentary majority. If it were up to me, I would encourage Prime Minister Kurti to consider that possibility because, as we have confirmed before, LDK has shown institutional seriousness, and I appreciate that very much,” Rashiq told TV1.
Rashiq also commented on the stance of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), which did not support his election as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
