Political analyst Ilir Deda reacted after Albin Kurti’s proposed cabinet failed to secure a majority in the Assembly, emphasizing that the outcome had been clear since February 10.

Deda stated that the country is now heading toward another electoral cycle, while Kosovo’s society, according to him, still struggles to apply rational accountability in politics.

His post reads:

Nine months were wasted to reach the point that was already known since February 10 — at 56 votes in the Assembly.

To whom did this entire country owe so much to waste all this time for the games of those who turned victory into defeat?

‘We will govern alone!’ — In dreams.

Responsibility, of course, that no one will bear. And so, we move toward new elections.

In societies with rational political culture, political punishment would be expected. In Kosovo, unfortunately, resentment will prevail.

The new elections, however, must serve as accountability and a new direction. And no amount of propaganda can avoid that.”
