A shocking double murder has taken place this morning in the village of Golluboc, Malisheva, where two brothers were shot and killed by their brother-in-law, according to the Kosovo Police.
The suspect, a man from a nearby village in Drenas, has been identified but not yet arrested, police confirmed.
According to the official police report, the brothers were transported around 11:30 a.m. to the Family Medicine Center in Kijeva, where medical staff confirmed their deaths due to gunshot wounds.
“Around 11:30, we were informed that two adult males (brothers) were brought to the Kijeva health center with gunshot injuries sustained in the village of Golluboc, Malisheva. The medical personnel confirmed their deaths. The necessary police units immediately responded and secured the scene,” the police statement said.
Authorities have launched an intensive manhunt for the suspect, while forensic experts and investigators are on-site collecting evidence to determine the motive and circumstances of the crime.
“In coordination with the state prosecutor, all necessary investigative actions are being undertaken to locate and arrest the suspect,” police added.
