The Fire Department at Camp Bondsteel, in support of the NATO-led KFOR Regional Command East mission, conducted a series of activities as part of Fire Prevention Week.
During the week, firefighters organized educational and practical events to raise awareness about fire safety. Activities included demonstrations on proper use of fire extinguishers, preventive safety tips, and interactive sessions for personnel aimed at improving knowledge and readiness to handle emergency situations.
KFOR emphasized that these initiatives are part of its ongoing commitment to protect and educate both service members and civilian personnel at the base, contributing to overall mission security and operational preparedness.
The announcement also reminded that KFOR continues to implement its mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), ensuring a safe and secure environment for all citizens and communities in Kosovo, and safeguarding freedom of movement impartially and at all times.
KFOR works closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), supporting their roles in responding to security matters and maintaining public safety.
