Viti has secured another mandate with Sokol Haliti at the helm, thanks to the strong support of its diaspora.
The runoff results once again confirmed the key role that Viti’s diaspora plays in electoral processes. Despite the tight race between LDK and VV, the votes from abroad proved decisive for Haliti’s fourth term as mayor.
The significant contribution of assembly member Sokol Shaqiri in mobilizing the diaspora was crucial, bringing the support that delivered LDK’s victory in the runoff.
Through this direct engagement, LDK managed to maintain its lead and ensure another term of leadership for Viti under Sokol Haliti.
