The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has sent a letter to the Speaker of the Assembly, Dimal Basha, addressing the delayed salaries of over 700 employees of the Kosovo Radio and Television (RTK) due to the non-formation of the Budget and Finance Committee in the new legislature.

In her letter, Osmani emphasizes that more than 700 RTK employees have been left without salaries because the Budget and Finance Committee has not yet been established in the new Assembly. According to Law No. 08/L-332 for 2025, only this committee has the authority to approve the allocation and transfer of financial resources to RTK. The absence of this committee has blocked the processing of funds, creating a serious social impact for the families of employees.

For this reason, the President calls on parliamentary groups to find a compromise and urgently form the permanent committees, including the Budget and Finance Committee, to ensure salary payments and maintain institutional and financial stability in the country. She urges deputies to take the necessary steps immediately to prevent further delays in this crucial process.
