The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kosovo has set two important deadlines for political entities participating in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 December 2025.
- 24–30 November: Political parties, coalitions, citizen initiatives, and independent candidates must submit their online applications for election certification through the CEC’s electronic platform.
- By 7 December: All participating entities must submit their lists of candidates for deputies.
CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi explained that the deadlines were shortened to accommodate the 37-day period available for organizing the entire electoral process. All candidates will be verified to ensure they meet the legal requirements for certification.
For context, in the previous parliamentary elections held on 9 February 2025, the CEC certified 28 political entities with a total of 1,279 candidates.
