The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has clarified the timeline for the registration of voters living outside Kosovo ahead of the December 28, 2025 early parliamentary elections.

According to KQZ spokesperson Valmir Elezi, the electronic platform for diaspora voter registration — available at diaspora.kqz-ks.org — will become accessible on Wednesday afternoon, following the Commission’s scheduled meeting.

Elezi confirmed that the registration window opens on November 26 and closes on December 6, 2025, giving citizens abroad a ten-day period to complete their applications.

Platform Activation Linked to KQZ Meeting

The spokesperson explained that the activation of the platform is directly tied to the KQZ meeting set for Wednesday, November 26, at 15:00. During this meeting, the Commission is expected to formally approve:

  • Voting Centers outside Kosovo,
  • The number of polling stations, and
  • The maximum number of voters per station.

These decisions must be finalized before the electronic system for diaspora registration can be opened, as they determine the logistical framework for organizing the vote abroad.

With a significant number of Kosovo citizens living overseas, the diaspora vote is expected to play a key role in the upcoming election.
