Kosovo defeated Albania 99-84 in the FIBA EuroBasket 2029 pre-qualifiers, in a match held in Shkodër.
The “Dardans” started the game strongly, building an early lead that carried through the first quarter and closing the first half 44-28 in their favor.
Kosovo maintained its advantage through the remaining quarters and ultimately won by 15 points.
The standout player was Dardan Berisha, who scored 35 points and added six assists, while Erjon Kastrati contributed an impressive 21 points.
For Albania, Hamati was the top performer, recording a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Kosovo and Albania are in Group C alongside Slovakia. This was Kosovo’s first match in the group, while Albania has now suffered two defeats in two games.
Kosovo’s next game will be a home match against Slovakia in February.
