Between 26 November and 4 December, more than 55,600 applications for voter registration abroad were received, of which over 48,600 were approved, while more than 6,400 were rejected, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced.
Currently, around 500 applications are still under review.
Of the total approved applications, the majority registered to vote by mail, approximately 35,000, sending their ballot packages to postal addresses outside Kosovo. More than 1,600 opted to send their ballot packages to the CEC postal box in Kosovo.
Meanwhile, over 12,000 citizens registered to vote in person at one of Kosovo’s diplomatic representations.
