German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated on Thursday in the Bundestag that a dictated peace in Ukraine would be catastrophic not only for Kyiv, but for Europe as a whole.
Pistorius emphasized that such an outcome would pose a direct threat to the security of the European continent. He urged European countries not to reduce their support for Ukraine.
“A dictated peace would be catastrophic for Europe because a Ukraine that is militarily defeated or perhaps pressured at the negotiating table and destabilized from within through Russian influence would endanger Europe’s security,” the minister said.
