Nikolla Sandullović, a Serbian politician, reacted after the inauguration of newly elected mayors in the northern municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, stating that the act of taking the oath before the flag of Kosovo by Serbian municipal leaders is proof that Kosovo is an independent state — and that Serbs in their local institutions recognize it as such.

In a Facebook post, Sandullović said that all ten mayors of Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo — re-elected under pressure from the Serbian List and in an atmosphere of fear and blackmail — have officially sworn their oath to the state of Kosovo.

He emphasized that the ceremony took place calmly, without negotiations or the use of force, accompanied by the national anthem of the Republic of Kosovo and in the presence of the photo of President Vjosa Osmani. The mayors received two versions of the oath, in Serbian and Albanian, leaving no room for excuses regarding respect for language, customs, or Serbian culture in Kosovo, while pledging to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the country.

According to Sandullović, nothing remains unclear: Kosovo is an independent state, and Serb representatives in their municipalities openly recognize it.
He added: “What more do you Serbs from Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Croatia, and Bosnia want? Silence there… just as your leader Aleksandar Vučić has already instructed you.”
