Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani attended the EU–Western Balkans Summit in Brussels, representing her country in discussions on regional cooperation and EU integration.
Addressing the media after her arrival, Osmani welcomed the partial removal of EU measures against Kosovo, calling it a positive step while emphasizing that their initial imposition had been unjust.
“We will work closely with our partners to ensure the full removal of these measures as soon as possible. I have seen positive elements in today’s discussions and hope the process will be completed quickly,” Osmani stated.
The President also commented on the absence of Serbia at the summit.
“I did not even notice their absence. The only thing Serbia brought to this summit was the presence of a state that defends Russian interests. Therefore, they will not be missed here today,” she added.
The summit brings together EU and Western Balkan leaders to reaffirm commitments to regional stability, reforms, and EU integration, highlighting Kosovo’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with Europe despite challenges posed by Serbia’s non-participation.
