Osmani Meets UK Ambassador, Discusses December 28 Elections and Urgency of Forming New Institutions

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met today with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves.

According to the official statement from the Presidency, the discussion focused on the December 28 early elections and the process of establishing new institutions, with President Osmani emphasizing the need for their swift formation.

“The meeting covered recent developments in the country, as well as the early elections held on December 28, which were conducted according to the highest democratic standards. In this context, the President reiterated the importance of forming the institutions as soon as possible,” the Presidency announced.

The discussion also addressed the next steps toward finalizing the President’s initiative for strategic agreements with the United Kingdom in areas of mutual interest, namely defense, security, economy, and trade, following agreements reached during the visit of the UK Foreign Secretary to Kosovo in April of last year.
