Severe Weather in Shkodër – 266 Hectares Flooded

The situation in the Shkodër municipality remains stable, with water levels below critical thresholds and no major issues reported, according to periodic monitoring on January 10, 2021, at 08:00.

River Conditions:

  • Water levels in the Bunë and Drin rivers remain controlled and within safety parameters.
  • In the past 24 hours, river levels have risen by approximately 10–20 cm compared to the previous day.
  • Old Bridge of Buna: water level at 8.30 m
  • Bahçallëk Bridge (Drin): water level at 8.05 m
  • Dajç administrative unit: water level at 6.48 m

Flooded Areas:

  • Total flooded area: 266 hectares
  • No residential properties have been flooded, and there is no standing water in inhabited areas across the municipality.

Administrative Units:

  • Ana Malit: Road to Obot remains blocked for low vehicles; only high-clearance vehicles can pass. Water on the road exceeds 50 cm.
    • Flooded agricultural land: ~130 Ha, mainly in Obot and Muriqan
  • Dajç: Flooded agricultural land: ~35 Ha, mainly in Pentar
  • Velipojë: Flooded agricultural land: ~101 Ha

The Shkodër municipality continues to monitor the situation closely, with water gradually receding from affected areas.
