The Prishtina Basic Court has extended the pre-trial detention of Fatmir Sheholli for an additional two months, on suspicion of espionage.
The court’s spokesperson, Mirlinda Gashi, confirmed that the prosecution’s request was approved.
“We inform you that following the request of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) to extend the detention measure in the criminal case against the defendant F.SH., based on grounded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Espionage on a continuous basis, the pre-trial judge, after reviewing the request, approved it through a ruling dated 09 January 2026, thereby extending the detention measure for a duration of two (2) months,” she stated.
