Denmark’s Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen stated that relations with the United States regarding former President Donald Trump’s proposal to purchase Greenland have improved, but warned that the crisis has not yet been fully resolved.

Speaking at a press conference in Nuuk, the capital of the autonomous Danish territory, Rasmussen said the situation is currently much better than it was a few weeks ago, although a final solution has not yet been reached. He also emphasized that there is no threat currently on the table and no risk of a trade war between the U.S. and Europe.

Meanwhile, Greenland’s Foreign Minister Vivian Motzfeldt noted that while continued dialogue with the United States is a positive development, Greenland has not yet achieved its desired outcome. She stressed that it is still too early to predict how the situation will ultimately unfold.

Motzfeldt made the remarks during a joint press conference in Nuuk alongside her Danish and Canadian counterparts, highlighting that negotiations and diplomatic discussions are expected to continue over the coming period.
