The Special Prosecutor’s Office (SP) and the Kosovo Police announce that, today, at the border point of the Republic of Kosovo with Serbia, specifically in Bërnjak, a person with the initials J.SH has been detained.
According to the announcement of the Prosecutor’s Office, the same person is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of “War crimes against the civilian population” in the Municipality of Gjakova during the years 1998-1999.
With the decision of the Special Prosecutor’s Office, he was detained for 48 hours, and within the legal time limits, this prosecutor’s office will make a request for the appointment of the measure of detention under the suspicion of having committed the criminal offense “War crimes against the civilian population”.
